BEFORE YOU FIRE THEM
In the course doing business, I discovered some things some business owners or bosses do that I feel it is an anomaly.
# One of the things I discovered is lack of adequately training their employees.
If you don't train them, don't blame them. The people you hire to manage your business should be properly trained if you want them to function well in your business.
It's laughable anytime I see how employers feel that monies spent to train their employees is a waste. It is rather part of the investment you make as a business owner to achieve maximum benefits from your business, so it is not a waste.
If you can't spend money to train your employees, you are not ready to do business or maximize profit. Also, you have not moral right to make demands of them to be productive.
# Another thing I discovered is lack of proper communication of the vision of a business.
Most businesses or ideal ones are built on or are guided by visions and so some business owners can't be indicted for lack of vision. However, the loophole I noticed, though most times not visible is lack of properly communicating in clear and definite terms to employees (I.e those that will executive or assist in actualizing the vision). It may seem OK or not threatening on the surface to your business, but technically it has accounted for the failure of so many businesses.
If you don't properly relate the vision to them, don't blame them. If it is not clearly communicated or if the actualization of their vision is not captured in your business vision, your business will suffer, because it would be perceived by them as a selfish vision.
As I conclude, learn to invest in training your employees and also clearly communicate your vision to them, by so doing, your business will experience a positive turn that will translate to growth and huge profit.
Ponder on these before activating the next fire button.
