I noticed a trend which has been on for sometimes now and after carefully thinking about it, I feel correcting it might help someone out there.

Let's go

Let me begin by saying that those that are sick and are serious about getting healed and well, don't just go pick up any drugs and swallow them, rather they go for proper diagnosis and after which the right drugs are recommended for them to take.

In view of the above statement, there is a trend going on and I really wish corrections are made.

The trend is CRAZE FOR SEEKING INFORMATION/KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT PURPOSE. I included craze to the issue because it has becoming alarming at the rate at which people just gulp information without any meaning to them.

Information they say is power, but I beg to add that applied information is what translates to power, meaning that having information alone is nothing or useless until it is put to profitable use. (To understand this point reread the second paragraph)

The reason people are educated and not productive is because they just take in too many information without being specific with them or doing nothing about them. (Please reread the previous paragraph to make meaning of this paragraph)

Here is what I suggest,

Instead of just taking in whatever comes your way as knowledge, seek to know your needs first. Knowing what you need will guide you on your path to information or knowledge seeking.

Before you pay for that course or that book, ask yourself these:

What do I this knowledge for?

What solution do I get using this knowledge?

Am I ready to apply all the knowledge I will acquire from it?

Will the knowledge I'm seeking be helpful to the issues at hand?

If you can genuinely ask yourself these and several others, it will help you seek specific knowledge and help you cut wastage of funds on knowledge you don't need.

And for you who have garnered so much knowledge, utilize them first by putting them to action before you acquiring new ones.

Now I'm trying to spoil business for book sellers or trainers, but it's better our products and services create impact in people than just making money off them.
