My poem for Christmas

Roll out the drums o ye people,
For our King is born and laid in a manger.
Sound the trumpet o ye nations,
The Saviour is born and laid in a manger.
Sing for joy o ye people,
For your Saviour has been given and laid in a manger.

For upon His beautiful shoulders was laid our sins.
He was given to be our substitute.
He though by nature a King, chose to come in a manger.

For the worst of sinners He came,
For the hopeless He came.

He would have chosen to come in grand style with carpets rolled out and carried to earth by the best of jets, but in a manger he chose to come.
My Lord, your Lord for our promotion He came laid in a manger.

In a manger came our reconciler with the Father.

Oh! What a humble King, Saviour, Redeemer and Reconciler!

Today, He is the reason for the season.
Today, He is the reason we celebrate.
Today, He is the reason the world is colourfully decorated.
Today, the world pauses to celebrate a humble King so beautiful and handsome,
Born in a manger to save the world and give her hope of eternal glory.

My poem for Christmas.
Merry Christmas.
