Mind who you share your dreams /ideas with

Hi there. 

Recently, I had a long discussion with a friend and our discussion was centred around how she gets discouraged anytime she discusses her plans with someone else and as a result she is scared of sharing with anyone what her plans for the future are. After much questioning and examining of her, I realised that the issue she is really having is not with telling someone her dreams but who she is telling them to. 

Like my friend,  many of us are caught in the same situation today. We have been victims of being abused in the past because we shared our ideas with persons we trust. At other times, we end up being discouraged by persons who never believed anything good can come out of us. 

For some of us, our ideas have been stolen away and used by those we trust so much and as a result we get scared telling anyone the ideas we have even if we come across those who are genuinely willing to help us.

Facts we must always have in mind are these:
* Not all that we call friends have delight in our success.
* Some persons have failure mentality and so they can infect others with it.
* Some persons are like predators who are going about looking for ideas to steal.
* Some have tried their hands on many ideas and have failed and so move about with negativity mentality.
* Some persons have no goals or destination they are aiming at and so don't have anything meaningful to contribute to the life of those who have ideas and the host of many other facts.
The above facts and many others, are reasons why you get discouraged when you share your dreams, ideas and plans with others.

 So, when next you are looking for those with whom you want to share your ideas, consider these:
* What has the person achieved in life.
* Where is the person going to in life.
* Consult God first before telling anybody about your dreams and ideas. 
* What's the reason why you are talking to that person about your ideas.
* What part can they play in helping you achieve them,  among other vital considerations.

NB: Don't be in a hurry to share with others your ideas and dreams. Be a taciturn when it comes to sharing your dreams with others.

Who you share your dreams and ideas with can either help you achieve it,  delay it or even delete it, the choice is yours.
Consider the Joseph story in the Bible.
