Be a value giver not just and attention seeker.

In these days of social media, almost everyone has caught the fever of posting one thing or the other ranging from uploading selfies, posting and reposting informations that interests them among other activities. Organizations (both government and nongovernmental are not left out in this trend too, they use social media to promote their activities.
Social media has been seen to be one of the cheapest, easiest and fastest means of getting their message across to the world.
However, in the midst of this new found activities, I noticed that a lot of persons use the social media for what I termed "attention seekers" as against the original aim of connecting the world. They engage in social media activities for likes, followership and maybe shares. I also noticed that celebrities using the various platforms to stage fights (both genuine and not genuine) to attract sympathy from their fans and attract attention to some new songs, products among other things. Some can go at any length to get attention even if it would mean they put up provocative pictures and videos. Before you term me as an antisocial media person, I also use it too and as a matter of fact it has helped me get so many things done with ease. So, I am not against it.
The sad part of all these activities and attention seeking is just for self and nothing more. Some persons just want to be seen as having so many followers, likes and shares without any value to give them in turn. Some don't know they can make money from those huge followership.
My point is that don't just seek attention, have values and lots of them to give your audience. A person of purpose will not just seek attention without having anything solid to give in return. For others, they have some form of values to give back but not solid and much enough to maintain or increase followership.
Here's my take before you seek for attention, build up huge values to give and keep your audience.
The values you could give your audience whether as individuals or organizations could be knowledge, products or services.
As for me, one of the values I have decided to be giving out is useful knowledge to build up right mindset and as a result, whether I am posting a picture or article, I do add some words of wisdom. Don't just get involved with the crowd to promote what will not add anything of value to your world.
Also, don't be caught in the web of promoting the news of other people's misfortune or stories that are not authentic. Promote or post stuffs that will be of immense benefit to somebody out there.
Somebody out there is looking up to you for some form of inspiration. Someone is in need of the product or service you offer, use social media to showcase them. Use social media to showcase solutions and not create problems.
Be a person of purpose, use social media wisely to make a difference. The world is getting stressed out with junks in form of photos, videos and informations that will not make her a better place. Be different, mind what you push out to the world as it can either help or destroy someone, think about it.
Post value to make our world a better place.
